Anthropology and archaeology have often inspired creative people, including filmmakers, designers and artists – the human world, our culture and history, the objects we create and leave behind, strike us with joy, wonder and sometimes pain. We have invited three British-based artists to talk about and show their work, which reveal the stories of three places, exposing their recent histories, through people, artefacts and sites. Each film raises curious questions, deepening that curiosity as we step through recent cultural and historical human events, that are at times shocking, affective and entertaining.
